Kissing Summer Goodbye
I’d be fibbing if I said September in LA feels drastically different than August. Still, the winds have changed. The energy has shifted. The vibes have transformed. While some rush to the closest Starbucks for the comfort of their pumpkin spice concoctions, I can’t help but feel nostalgic for a summer I can still taste. The sand lingers on my skin. The salt in my hair. The fresh fruits on my lips.
The desire for one more beach day, one more rooftop romp, one more 8 o’clock sunset. …but that time has come and passed.
Something about September feels like the prep work. Fall in love with the process they say and after a summer filled with adventure I’m ready to settle into a routine. It’s time to bake and break the bread. Wake up a little earlier, write a little more, and ease into the fall.
So let's kiss the summer goodbye and embrace the autumn.
